Tea Lady Talk

Date: 18/07/2006

So what goes towards feeding 22 hungry athletes (alright...22 men), 2 umpires and two scorers in a 20 minutes. Its an operation planned with military precision and clubs build their reputations on the strength of the tea interval. You'd think that prior to travailing away to play sides, the questions would be "what are their strengths and weaknesses, what's their league position but no...you will commonly hear things like..."we're off to xxxxx next week...they always have nice tea's"

We have a team of nutritional experts in Jill, Angela, Lotty and Sally who provide the food at the interval. I managed to corner Angela a couple of weeks ago to try and discover the formula for a successful spread. I had to sign some form of privacy document before she would tell me with the undertaking that I kept it to myself...or I she use her very sharp bread knife to remove something very dear to me. So here it is....now where did I put my passport?
