Captian's Pre Season Report

Welcome to this year’s cricket club handbook, and what a year we have had with league relegation still ringing in our ears.

However, now we look to the future and after a winter of good practice in the indoor league and at the pre-season nets at Dummer we are in a good position to restore some pride to the name of the club.

Perhaps it’s worth pointing out to those who do not know, the continued commitment and dedication that this club has been built on, and that it continues to this day. As a testament to this determination we still have members of our committee who have served the club for over 50 years.

There are a number of people who help run the club, with the various official positions on the committee they know who they are as do we, but we must all remember that for the club to be successful just turning up on the day is not enough.

This summer season is going to be hard for us, many of us have been asked to do jobs we have never done before, not least myself.

Sometimes we will win and sometime we will lose, but one thing will always be true, we will always do our best.
